In memory of my wonderful husband
Clifford Geoffrey Jenkyns
22nd May 1938 to 15th November 2011

My life has now changed forever. I was happily married to Clifford Jenkyns for over 49 years. Over the years we had our own businesses so not only did we live together but we also worked together. Clifford was a big part of my life, my soul mate, an amazing man, kind, giving, caring, a great sense of humour and he also had a passion for helping people and wanting to make the world a better place.

On the 15th November 2011, he died in my arms, MRSA had taken hold in his lungs. He bravely fought the infection for over four months. I keep reliving that moment, that once strong and vibrant man who I had loved for over fifty years had now gone and was resting peacefully in my arms.

My life will never be the same, but I want to do all I can to warn others about the dangers of MRSA. This is the reason that I became a trustee. Clifford used to say to me that his 'quest was to bring more joy, peace and love to the World'. I still feel him close, and I am sure that he is supporting me to try to take his mantel and do my part in helping others. I am looking forward to working with MRSA Action UK and my daughter Andrea Jenkyns in helping to eradicate MRSA.
