Heavenly Father,
All are precious in your sight, and, as we weep, we know that you weep too.
We pray now for all who have died as a result of illness �
remembering particularly today those who have died as a result of infections.
As we remember them,
we pray for all who seek to understand this infection
and all who care for those who are infected now.

 By your mercy,
grant to each of us who remain,
the will to continue to work and campaign
for deeper understanding and compassion
